CHICAGO HISTORICAL HAUNTINGS

in Lincoln Park has rich history in the neighborhood. The original Red Lion, owned by British Royal Air Force veteran and English immigrant John Cordwell, closed in 2008 and was recently brought back to life by his son Colin Cordwell in its new location on Lincoln Avenue. It has become the place for traditional English pub food like Bangers and Mash, Cider Pork Cottage Pie and authentic Charcuterie Boards along with classic English stouts and whiskey.

Ghost-chaser in training, and an accredited Apprentice Field Researcher for a private paranormal research institute, Jim Bergstrom has been performing magic since the age of four years old. Mentored by magic legends Milton Kort and Ron Bauer, Bergstrom learned classic magic tricks and spent eight years at a chain of upscale dinner houses in Detroit, and numerous private and public shows - all while a full time high school and college student. He later spent more than seven years as the full–time magical good will ambassador at Chicago’s area Hilton Hotels.

Using artifacts on loan from the institute's collection of ghostly antiquities, compelling evidence of the supernatural will materialize. Jim's current research assignment is to document modern audience reactions to these paranormal experiments and submit all findings to the institute.

Bergstrom graduated Wayne State University with a double major in Psychology and Theater, including studying at Oxford University. He performs regularly at The Chicago Magic Lounge in the Uptown Underground Theater, Hollywood's Famed Magic Castle, many performances in regional lounges, restaurants, and ballrooms as well as several television and radio appearances.
